Aviation Minister Keyamo stated that illegal charter flight operations have flourished in Nigeria for 50 years, with 80% of private jets operating commercially under private licenses. This has cost the government ₦120 billion in lost revenue in the last decade. Keyamo vowed to tackle this issue, despite facing resistance, emphasizing that these aircraft owners are required to obtain licenses from the NCAA specifying whether the aircraft is for private or commercial use.
